Third i Paradigm supports individuals and communities create new paradigms for healing, coexistence, and resilience to achieve sustainable social transformation.  We integrate a trauma-informed approach into development assistance projects to mitigate underlying trauma and chronic stress factors which keep communities locked in cycles of violence and harm.

Third i Paradigm designs interventions to mitigate the detrimental consequences of violence and conflict.  We collaborate closely with partners and communities to develop culturally appropriate interventions to promote personal and social transformation. The methodology focuses on re-orienting negative perceptions and narratives contributing to group polarization to facilitate positive coexistence. It also supports individuals and communities to increase agency and a sense of belonging to reduce marginalization and isolation, which are often pre-existing in conflict-prone communities, and further exacerbated by trauma.

Third i Paradigm  integrates a trauma-informed approach within its management and partnerships to promote effective teams, collaboration, innovation and well being.  We recognize that teams and partners working in conflict-prone environments are often also survivors of violence coping with the debilitating effects of direct or vicarious trauma.  Through continual support to our team and partners during each phase of development and implementation, we build mutual trust and confidence, healthy collaboration and momentum towards positive change.
